Lesson Starter Tool

We are so excited to finally share our lesson starter too! This tool was made by the amazing team at the Scottish Tech Army. This is a free tool for all teachers delivering Computing Science that includes over 250 pre loaded starters. From videos, did you know facts arounds the tech sector in Scotland to prompt discussions, coding questions and diary feature. Supporting teachers to organise lesson starters for all your classes and ability to save favorites.

This is a great opportunity for the Computing Science community to come together and contribute to the tool, so everyone can benefit. There is a dedicated folder on #CSSDrive for teachers to share their lesson starters that can then be added to the tool so that all teachers can benefit.

This is also an excellent opportunity for the tech sector to get involved and help generate content that can be used in classrooms across the country to help engage and inspire the next generation into the tech sector. We would love to work with industry to make this happen. If you’re interested please get in touch at support@dresscode.org.uk

This tool starter as an idea that was featured as part of the volunteers assemble challenge for the Scottish Tech Army’s Festival over a year go. It is amazing to look back at this challenge and seeing it be brought to life and a tool that teachers across the country can now use! A special thanks to the incredible volunteers who made this happen; Keith, Sam, Bhanupriya, Angus, Mia, Jason, Richard, Chris, LEan, Alanna, Joe and the Scottish Tech Army.
