dressCode’s Turing’s Testers launch National competition and win National award

Founder of dressCode, Toni Scullion, has worked closely with the Turing’s Testers, three senior Advanced Higher Computing Science students but also dressCode leaders and advocates to raising the profile of Computing Science and encouraging more girls to get into Computing Science.

Together they have created a Nationwide cyber competition, Cyber Treasure Hunt that targets at S2 girls in Scotland to encourage into the cyber sector. They have been working in collaboration with the Data Lab Scotland and the top teams will get an invite to the final event in March to celebrate Women in Data Science day learn more here. This has been incredibly successful and resulted in the Turing’s Testers being awarded this years Outstanding Women in Cyber 2018, at the Scottish Cyber Awards.

Plans are in motion for 2019’s Nationwide Cyber Challenge, watch this space.
