Marcy Bryce

First winner of Hopper Award at St Margaret's School for Girls. I would like to express my heartfelt nomination to Marcy for the Grace Hopper award. The reasons for this nomination are both profound and inspiring.

Firstly, their unwavering commitment to representing our school across various competitions has not only brought honour to our school but has also set a remarkable standard of dedication and excellence for their peers to aspire to, which I can attest to. Moreover, her efforts in mentoring and invigorating the younger pupils about their educational journey in various clubs (Coding & Computing club for several years) stand as a testament to their genuine passion for fostering a love of learning and growth within our community.

Marcy has also gone above and beyond by dedicating countless hours to work tirelessly and without complaints, beyond their normal curriculum, displaying their extraordinary commitment to personal and academic development. Her ability to encourage other pupils to collaborate positively in the face of challenges (by rallying everyone to succeed) illuminates the best of what our school stands for. She embodies a spirit of unity and determination, casting our school in the most favourable light through their actions and attitudes.

Lastly, her respectful demeanour and active promotion of respect and computing Science (which I have observed on many occasions) and care among their peers have cultivated an environment where kindness and mutual support flourish. It is for these reasons and many more that I believe that Marcy Bryce is deserving of this award.
